A Rainbow Thanks for Whimsy Stamps

Wednesday, June 28, 2017

Happy Wednesday friends. I have a fun rainbow card to share with you using products from Whimsy Stamps

I started by stamping the fun Thanks image from the Many Thanks stamp set (currently on sale for only $5.99) repeatedly using my Misti, just moving  my paper up and down, to that the alignment would be good. I made sure to leave a spot for one of the smaller supporting sentiments.

I then added some color into each of the open areas with my Copic markers. I die cut this panel with the second to largest die from the Hand Stitched Nested Rectangles die collection and then matted this on some black card stock.

Welcome friends - thanks for stopping by today. My card today uses lots of fun MFT goodies that you can find at TupeloDesignsLLC. Make sure and stop by the store to check out all the new goodies available - many of them are 20% off.

I decided to ink up the new Framework background stamp from MFT. I used my Misti so I could use different colors of ink for a bit of an ombre effect. After my background was stamped, I got to work on the butterfly image which comes from the Beautiful Butterflies set. I stamped the two layers and then used the coordinating dies to cut it out.

I stamped my sentiment from the More Essential Sentiments set and then die cut the white strip with the circle in the inside from MFT's Blueprints 31 set of Die-namics. I also die cut the background panel with a die from the same Blueprints set.

To finish off the card, I added some foam tape behind the wings of the butterfly for added dimension.

Layered Floral Dies with Altenew

Monday, June 26, 2017

Welcome friends. I know we are way past Mother's Day but I wanted to share this card with you as really, the main focus is on the gorgeous dies from Altenew.

I started by die cutting both the Layered Floral A and the Layered Floral B dies, both from Altenew in varying shades of pink card stock.

I then layered these onto my dark pink card stock base using some liquid adhesive. To finish off the card, I added my sentiment that I popped up with some foam tape.

I absolutely love these dies and the gorgeous cards that you can create in just minutes.

Hi for Honey Bee Stamps

Sunday, June 25, 2017

Welcome friends. In case you don't follow me on social media, I am now part of the Honey Bee Stamps Social Media Design Team and I couldn't be more thrilled. You will be seeing weekly posts from me on Sundays using these super fun stamps and dies.

For my first project, I wanted to use the Sweet as Honey stamp set. This was my first ever Honey Bee Stamps stamp set and it's only the 2nd time I've used it. I started by heat embossing all the floral images and leaves from the set multiple times. I then did some simple ink blending with my Distress inks.  I used the coordinating dies to cut them out and set them aside.

On my card base, I knew I wanted just a bit of interest so I stamped the fun honeycomb image a few times in a couple of the corners. I then die cut two ovals and stamped my sentiment onto the smaller one. The sentiment is also from the same Sweet as Honey set.

I adhered my ovals, did a bit of flower arranging, rounded the bottom 2 corners and added some clear confetti and the card is complete.

Thank you so much for stopping by today - I'm so glad you did.  Crafty hugs!

Welcome friends. I have two cards to share with you today for TupeloDesignsLLC using lots of fun Lawn Fawn products.

For my first card, I started by die cutting the Leafy Tree Backdrop: Landscape die. I masked off the outer edge of the die so that I could ink up the tree trunk. I used the Simple Grassy Hillsides dies to cut some white card stock which I added Twisted Citron Distress Ink to add color.  I added some cloud detail to the background with some Tumbled Glass ink and stamped the sentiment from the Meow you Doin' stamp set. I finished off the card by stamping and die cutting one of the cute cat images from the Meow you Doin' set.  I added the sweet little kitty into the grass along with a party hat from the same set.

For my second card, I stamped one of the Happy sentiments from the Happy Happy Happy stamp set repeatedly in rainbow order. I left room for the supporting sentiment. I trimmed this panel down and then added foam tape. I added some MFT Black & White Paper Pack.

Welcome friends. I have two cards to share with you today for TupeloDesignsLLC. Before I get to the cards, I wanted to let you know that the store has added many new companies and lots of new products and many of the new releases are marked down 20% - no coupon needed. And for my US friends, you always get FREE shipping in the US with no minimum purchase.

Now, onto the cards.  For both cards, I am using the beautiful Flutter stamp set from Tim Holtz. And while I didn't use them on today's cards, Sizzix has just released coordinating dies for this set that are available for pre-order now from TupeloDesignsLLC.

For my first card, I started by stamping one of the butterfly images from the Flutter stamp set 4 times in varying shades of orange and yellow ink to create an ombre effect. I stamped a sentiment from MFT's More Essential Sentiments and added my focal pattern to the Black & White Basics Paper Pack from MFT. I rounded the corners and this CAS card is done.

For my second card, I arranged several of the butterfly images onto my Misti and white heat embossed them. I then used various shades of Distress Inks to do some emboss resist. I stamped the sentiments from the WPlus9 That is All stamp set and also used the coordinating dies to cut out the larger sentiment.

Thanks so much for visiting today friends. Crafty hugs!
